Download and Installation Instructions

Download the NMWDM5.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the NMWDM5.EXE file to begin the installation.
At the "NeoMagic MagicMedia 256AV WDM Audio Driver Update Utility - Welcome" box, click Continue. Several setup boxes will appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
At the "Setup Complete" screen, select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now" (if it isn't already selected) and click Finish.
As Windows restarts, the audio hardware will be redetected and the updated drivers will be installed.

Installation of the audio driver upgrade is complete.

If it is necessary to reinstall the NeoMagic MagicMedia 256AV Audio Driver, you will need to first remove the NMWDM5.EXE installation files. To do so, follow these steps:

Go to the directory where the NMWDM5.EXE file was downloaded and double-click it.
At the "NeoMagic MagicMedia 256AV WDM Audio Driver Update Utility - Welcome" box, click Continue. Several setup boxes will appear during the installation. As the files are installed, these boxes will close automatically.
At the "Confirm File Deletion" box, click OK to remove all of its components. Please wait as the installation files are removed.

The uninstallation is complete. You may redownload and reinstall the NMWDM5.EXE file.

The installation of this updated driver will resolve this issue.
[PCG-F100 and PCG-F200 Series computers Only]: This update also supersedes two earlier USB-Ethernet updates:
